Microalgae-enriched Functional Oils are fixed oils obtained from super-seeds (healthy oils) and carotenoids-rich microalgae (high in Astaxanthin). The extracted oil contains all the beneficial lipophilic constituents that are soluble using proprietary technology and CO2 supercritical . Natural Astaxanthin is one of the most powerful lipophilic antioxidants yet discovered. Natural Astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae exclusively produces the 3S, 3’S Astaxanthin enantiomer. Other synthetic or cheap sources of astaxanthin may come from chemical fermentation or petrochemicals. The synthetic products mainly contain other enantiomers like (3R,3’S) and (3R, 3’R), whose chiral physiological effects are poor and unknown.
